Work!

Why do I enjoy work soo much? I love working because I love the challenge of working hard. I love work.because it keeps me healthy and builds up muscle. I love work, because I am able to praise,worship,thank and pray to God. I love work, because I am saving up money to be able to have and raise a family of my own with the money I make.

Thank you God for giving me great jobs! Lord if it is your will guide me to another place for work. You are the Father of the workers!

Lost!

Lord, lead me to help follow your cross! Many in the world live sinful lives. Please help them find the right path to you, O Lord! You are the Alpha, Omega, and the beginning and end! Please help them to see what they are doing is wrong. Please today bless at least one person with your awesome and almighty power O God!

"There is always something to be learned from the natural order that can be applied to the spiritual and moral life. One of the most common underlying misconceptions and fallacious presuppositions is that there is no evil in the world, that no one will hurt you if you just don’t hurt them. Wrong! There is evil in the world, there has been since darkness entered into Eden, and there will be until Jesus comes again in glory.

There is good and there is evil; there is truth and there are lies; there is life and there is death. Being neutral is a myth. Sitting on a fence is an accident waiting to happen. In the end you will be “for me or against me,” as Jesus says.

We are at war and “our battle is not against flesh and blood,” as St. Paul asserts in his letter to the Ephesians. A good soldier is ready to shed his blood, sweat, and tears for the cause of freedom. Jesus tells us, “I’ve come to set the captives free.” The servant is no better, no different, than his Master. The bottom line of war is victory, and this war is for an eternal prize.

We honor our veterans this week, and rightly so. Let their sacrifices for our country inspire you to even higher things. You and I are called to fight the good fight and run the race to the finish line. Performing our mission as good Catholics and Christians affects countless other souls, some we know, some we don’t. So, as St. Paul cautions us, “Don’t shadow box. Fight so as to win.” Don’t imagine there is not a moral and spiritual war either. This fight results in victory or defeat, Heaven or hell, forever." November 6 Saint of The Day!

St. Leonard

According to unreliable sources, he was a Frank courtier who was converted by St. Remigius, refused the offer of a See from his godfather, King Clovis I, and became a monk at Micy. He lived as a hermit at Limoges and was rewarded by the king with all the land he could ride around on a donkey in a day for his prayers, which were believed to have brought the Queen through a difficult delivery safely. He founded Noblac monastery on the land so granted him, and it grew into the town of Saint-Leonard. He remained there evangelizing the surrounding area until his death. He is invoked by women in labor and by prisoners of war because of the legend that Clovis promised to release every captive Leonard visited.

Sex Before Marriage is a definite "NO" Deuteronomy 22:13-29 talks a little about how sex before marriage is wrong. Sex before marriage damages our soul. God made man and woman to come together and to give life. It is a blessing and a special gift. It is only to be used when married! So we should respect God's property which is either the man or woman and also honor the man or woman. Those who believe that it is okay to have sex before marriage should go and seek counsel from a priest or smart adult like their parents.

The Purpose of the Parables?

We might think that Jesus spoke in parables to make it easier for people to understand his message. According to the Gospels, however, he surprisingly does NOT expect everyone to understand them! This is clearly expressed in Matthew 13:10-17:

10 Then the disciples came and asked him, "Why do you speak to them [the crowds] in parables?"
11 He answered, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 For to those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.
13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that 'seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.' (cf. Isa 6:9-10)
14 With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah that says: 'You will indeed listen, but never understand, and you will indeed look, but never perceive.

Romans13:8 and 13:10

Romans13:8 Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another:for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Romans13:10 Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence love is the fulfillment of the law.

Loving an enemy is very hard for many to do. To really make Christ love us is to forgive them for what they have done. Also God is Love, so we must follow in God's footsteps.

Just got back Trick or Treating! Ashley ate a lot of candy shhhhh don't tell anybody haha!
