Anthony was born about circa 468 at Valeria in Lower Pannonia. When he was eight years old, his father died and he was first entrusted to the care of St. Severinus. After the death of Severinus, an uncle, Bishop Constantius of Lorsch in Bavaria took charge of his upbringing. While in Bavaria, Anthony became a monk. He returned to Italy in 488 and joined the cleric Marius and his companions as a hermit at Lake Como. However, he gained so many disciples that he was forced to flee. Anthony then went to Lerins in Gaul and became a monk there. However, he lived only two years at Lerins before his death, renowned for his miracles and spirituality.

Ashley's gift!
Christmas Rocks!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We Both wish a Merry Christmas
and
A
Happy New Years
Remember that Christmas time is not about the gifts, how much you will stuff your stomach with Christmas dinner, or about the T.V shows, not about the lights. We should remember that Christ came into this world to die for our sins. Remember that the greatest gift that God could give to us is our family. So I wish you all to have a wonderful time with family and to give some alone time to God to thank him for coming to this earth!
Bon' Appetite!
The first dish is my salad with my fish and garlic bread!
The second is the rest of my fish that I had for dinner on Friday.
My third dish is my oatmeal covered with sauteed' apples and with four bananas shaped as a flower. sprinkled with a final touch of cinnamon. Surrounding this beautiful bowl of part of Heaven are three pieces of toast. The two pieces of toast on the outside is multigrain bread! In the middle and on the top of the plate is bread from the Monastery, which the sisters make! Let us not forget the children that starve in other countries! I mean this dinner could probably feed a family for like 2 weeks!
Christmas Time Is Alomost Here!
grotto in Bethlehem.
*Joy is the true gift of Christmas, not the expensive gifts that call
for time and money. We can communicate this joy simply: with a smile, a
kind gesture, a little help, forgiveness. And the joy we give will
certainly come back to us. Let us pray that this presence of the
liberating joy of God shines forth in our lives.* /- Pope Benedict XVI

John 1:5
God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all!
Many people don't have this light in them. This actually affects the way people feel and live. They feel alone or depressed. They live lives of sin. Without Christ you can never be happy and won't have that light in you. Here is a song that kind of goes along with this passage
Does Anybody Hear Her lyrics
Songwriters: Hall, John Mark; She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying but the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
She is yearning for shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching for a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her
If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her
Never even met her, never even met her
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
He is running a hundred miles an hour
In the wrong direction

Isaiah 30:33
For a burning place has long been prepared; yea,for the king it is made ready, its pyre made deep and wide with fire and wood in abundance; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.

Lay It Down!
Lay It Down
Matt Maher
Everything I am
Everything I long to be
I lay it down at Your feet
Everything I am
Everything I long to be
I lay it down at Your feet
I lay it down
I lay it down
I lay it down
At Your feet
Oh pearl of greatest price
No act of sacrifice
Can match the gift of life I find within Your gaze
Oh, what a sweet exchange
I die to rise again
Lifted up from the grave into Your hands of grace

Song of Songs1:9-11
To the steeds of Pharaoh's chariots
would I liken you, my beloved:
Your Cheeks lovely in pendant,
your neck in jewels.
We will make pendants of gold for you,
and silver ornaments.
Mrs. Mininichini!
"There is always something to be learned from the natural order that can be applied to the spiritual and moral life. One of the most common underlying misconceptions and fallacious presuppositions is that there is no evil in the world, that no one will hurt you if you just don’t hurt them. Wrong! There is evil in the world, there has been since darkness entered into Eden, and there will be until Jesus comes again in glory.
There is good and there is evil; there is truth and there are lies; there is life and there is death. Being neutral is a myth. Sitting on a fence is an accident waiting to happen. In the end you will be “for me or against me,” as Jesus says.
We are at war and “our battle is not against flesh and blood,” as St. Paul asserts in his letter to the Ephesians. A good soldier is ready to shed his blood, sweat, and tears for the cause of freedom. Jesus tells us, “I’ve come to set the captives free.” The servant is no better, no different, than his Master. The bottom line of war is victory, and this war is for an eternal prize.
We honor our veterans this week, and rightly so. Let their sacrifices for our country inspire you to even higher things. You and I are called to fight the good fight and run the race to the finish line. Performing our mission as good Catholics and Christians affects countless other souls, some we know, some we don’t. So, as St. Paul cautions us, “Don’t shadow box. Fight so as to win.” Don’t imagine there is not a moral and spiritual war either. This fight results in victory or defeat, Heaven or hell, forever." Ponder on this
This is pretty scary. Sin destroys us. As we keep on sinning the sins get bigger and makes our souls black. Be faithful to God and follow Hs ways and your life will be lived holy.

Mrs. Minichini's Quote of The Day!
November 6 Saint of The Day!
According to unreliable sources, he was a Frank courtier who was converted by St. Remigius, refused the offer of a See from his godfather, King Clovis I, and became a monk at Micy. He lived as a hermit at Limoges and was rewarded by the king with all the land he could ride around on a donkey in a day for his prayers, which were believed to have brought the Queen through a difficult delivery safely. He founded Noblac monastery on the land so granted him, and it grew into the town of Saint-Leonard. He remained there evangelizing the surrounding area until his death. He is invoked by women in labor and by prisoners of war because of the legend that Clovis promised to release every captive Leonard visited.

Sex Before Marriage Is Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Purpose of the Parables?
We might think that Jesus spoke in parables to make it easier for people to understand his message. According to the Gospels, however, he surprisingly does NOT expect everyone to understand them! This is clearly expressed in Matthew 13:10-17:
- 10 Then the disciples came and asked him, "Why do you speak to them [the crowds] in parables?"
11 He answered, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 For to those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.
13 The reason I speak to them in parables is that 'seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.' (cf. Isa 6:9-10)
14 With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah that says: 'You will indeed listen, but never understand, and you will indeed look, but never perceive.
15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; so that they might not look with their eyes, and listen with their ears, and understand with their heart and turn-- and I would heal them.'
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
17 Truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.

Today!
Mrs Minichini(my second mother) Sent this to Me
the charge of saving souls. Nothing brings more joy to the church than
those who restore souls to spiritual life, thus despoiling hell,
defeating the devil, making the angels glad, glorifying the most Holy
Trinity and preparing for themselves a never-fading crown."
- St. Charles Borromeo (1538-1584), Cardinal-Archbishop of Milan

2Corinthians9:9
As it is written:
He scatters abroad,
he gives to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.
Those who do kind acts of charity earn special graces. Those who do kind acts of charity earn graces also. But mostly it is showing how righteous these people are. It is showing how much God is in their lives too.

Romans13:8 and 13:10
Romans13:10 Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence love is the fulfillment of the law.
Loving an enemy is very hard for many to do. To really make Christ love us is to forgive them for what they have done. Also God is Love, so we must follow in God's footsteps.
